Help: Rainmeter Skins • Re: Rainmeter skins deleted

When I opened up my computer today, at first there was no problems with rainmeter. About an hour ago I installed NET 6 (I had no prior experience of web frameworks), and restarted the computer after the installation. When it turned back on, all my skins with the exception of three, had not appeared. I opened up the rainmeter app to load the skins, but didn't find them. Then I checked my files and they were just empty folders with all of the contents gone. I tried loading my saved layout and my backup but those files were gone too. I also found some random skins I never used, deleted as well. I couldn't find any of the missing files. As for the three that were still there, they didn't display or function correctly despite their code was untouched.
This isn't a Rainmeter issue (nor a new one), but more of a Windows Update type issue. You might want to try the fixes mentioned here:

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-update-deleted-all-files-from-my-desktop/c52a735c-6324-423b-b5c4-1a9b2052fa49

i.e., reboot 4 times, or check that you aren't using a temporary profile. Your old profile might still have all your old files. Check your C:\Users folder to find any temporary profiles.

P.S.: Why are you installing .NET 6? That's ancient history (it's also not a web framework).
